BrightNode and MOK: A Business Case in Tokenomics Excellence

BRIGHTNODE-CaseStudy-MOK

MOK chose BrightNode as their strategic partner for designing sustainable tokenomics and reward distribution strategies. Through our expertise, we enabled the game design to remain flexible and adaptable post-launch, enriching the understanding of MOK’s tokenomics framework and reward distribution system.

Our team was relatively inexperienced in Web3 and decentralised projects, due to that we had concerns that certain blindspots- such as tokenomics, would end up hurting our operation.

Due to that we decided to hire Brightnode as experts in the field to guide and educate us on how these things should be done.

With their Swiss clock-like precision and extreme professionalism, we got more than our dollars worth as every single deliverable was provided on time and exceeded our expectations.

Working with BrightNode has been a pleasure and I would be thrilled to contract them again the next chance I get.”

The client | MOK

Miners of Kadenia (MOK), Kadena’s inaugural gaming protocol, pioneers GameFi by exclusively hosting on decentralized Flux Nodes. The MOK ecosystem is set to feature $MOK as the first among multiple tokens, facilitating users to maximise their potential within the protocol. MOK is not merely a play-to-earn initiative but a unique financial system that acknowledges and rewards its investors.

BrightNode’s contribution

BrightNode led the comprehensive design of Tokenomics for MOK, which included $MOK Allocation & Release Schedule, Game Design & Reward Mechanics, and Game NFT Tokenomics.

We utilized the Machinations tool to visually represent the $MOK token distribution timeline, and incorporated crucial gameplay features like NFT character definitions, reward emissions, and asset distribution to players within the “Game Design & Reward Mechanics”.

Furthermore, BrightNode contributed to the pricing and specifications of all ancillary NFTs used in the game. The modelling of these assets was crucial for evaluating the influence of purchasable items on the game, especially concerning reward emission.

A single-player gameplay simulation was conducted using Machinations, replicating the player experience and profile behaviour to monitor individual-level reward distribution and assist in pricing purchasable items.

In conclusion, our design covered the $MOK token supply allocation & release schedule, in-game monthly rewards calculations, and the definition of all game assets & mechanics. This provided insights into potential player earnings and established a correlation with the tokenomics.
