BrightNode created the first Generali A&WM NFT

Generali A&WM approached BrightNode to create their first non-fungible token (NFT). The collaboration was powered by the Financial Services area of Talent Garden.

For context, the Asset & Wealth Management Business Unit is running a long-term project called “Digital Minds”. This three-year-long program aims to boost employees’ digital skills, and consists of two moments: the definition of bottom-up business projects about digitization and innovation, and innovative and interactive training and development initiatives.

Generali A&WM worked together with a Data Designer to co-create an NFT inspired by the outcome of a question asked all the Asset Wealth Management employees, ‘What does digital represent to you?’.  All the data collected was subsequently converted into sounds, shapes and colours titled “Dandelion”, where all the keywords were transformed into seeds, free to spread in the wind of possibilities.

Established in 2017 with a presence in more than 15 countries in Europe, the Asset & Wealth Management Business Unit gathers the Generali group’s companies dedicated to Asset and Wealth Management activities. It includes Generali Investments, an ecosystem of asset management firms, delivering a portfolio of specialist capabilities across various countries, and Banca Generali, a leading private bank in Italy.

BrightNode’s contribution

BrightNode supported Generali through the following activities:

●        Advice on communication-related to their first non-fungible token

●        Technical realisation of the NFT, including mint on the Ethereum blockchain

●        Opening of a dedicated Ethereum wallet and NFT custody

●        Metadata and artwork on the InterPlanetary File System (IPFS) through Pinata.

BrightNode eventually minted the “Dandelion” NFT on Ethereum.
