3 Female communities NFTs Tokenomics

Introduction

Non Fungible Tokens (NFTs) are a major trend in the crypto world. Among the numerous NFT collections that have been created in the last years, some are managed by women and are focused on women.

They have different tokenomics and they carry out different complementary activities.

8Sian

Established in October 2021, 8Sian offers 8,888 NFT illustrations of Asian women in iconic historical fashion. For example, women are dressed with qipao dresses and imperial palace outfits. The enterprise was founded by a woman of Asian descent. 

8SIAN aims to be  a global, inclusive community that brings together members who admire Asian cultures. The community intends to represent, educate and build a lasting presence in the NFT space.

The six people team is also committed to integrating 8SIAN into Web3 and taking the Asian culture into the Metaverse.

In fact, 8SIAN plans to eventually create a fully-immersive experience for their NFT owners in the Metaverse. To reach this goal, they have already purchased land in Decentraland and Sandbox. They also will provide NFT owners with a range of accessories, wearables, properties, etc.

8Sian also plans to provide educational programs and scholarships to 8SIAN owners with the hopes to educate and expose more individuals towards the future of blockchain technology.
On sales,  8SIAN applies a 8% royalty. 2.5% is for the team, 2.5% for an 8SIAN Community Led Fund (CLF) and 3% goes to forming a corporation. 

The 2.5% 8SIAN CLF is used for community-run contests and events, supporting new and upcoming artists, NFT acquisitions, cryptocurrency acquisitions, charities, etc .

Boss Beauties

Boss Beauties  was founded by Lisa Mayer in September 2021 and is woman-led initiative that creates opportunities for girls and women. Mayer thinks that portraits can capture beautifully diverse, empowered women.

It offers a collection of 10,000 NFT women portraits.

The mission is to empower girls and women at the forefront of technology, leadership and creativity.

In January 2022, Boss Beauties announced that it will be a part of Coinbase’s initial launch together with other notable NFT projects such as World of Women and Bored Ape Yacht Club. 

Additionally, in celebration of the International Women’s Day on March 8, it also launched a collaboration with Mattel, Barbie manufacturer.

Boss Beauties relies on a community of the next generation of women and girls. This family of Gen Z social entrepreneurs, designers, and change-makers are at central for every initiative.

The Boss Beauties Foundation mission is to provide mentorship programs and internships to women in High School and College, while funding scholarships for women in the community. 

World of Women (WoW)

WoW was founded by 4 friends sharing the same vision and has meanwhile become a team of 9 people and features the middle-easter artist Yam Karkai. Their mission is to create a beautiful, diverse, empowering women avatar collection and thriving NFT community.

WoW, which launched in July 2021, is backed by plenty of celebrities. It is partnering with a media company to bring NFTs into film and TV. It has also collaborated with singers Christina Aguilera, Mariah Carey and Madonna. 

The first Wow NFT collection is sold out, it is made by 10,000 randomly generated digital collectibles of various rarity living on the Ethereum blockchain as ERC-721 tokens. It is a collection of unique, cool and diverse Women avatars.

They can be traded on OpenSea.

Each WoW NFT is a 800×800 PNG file available to all users.
But only by owning a WoW NFT, will you be able to unlock its super high resolution 4000×4000 version. 

By owning a WoW NFT you own the underlying artwork and all of its Intellectual Property.

World of Women is about empowering women through art and promoting diversity. WoW supports women in the real world as well. In fact, 2.5% of all primary sales will be donated to women-specific social causes.

Similarly, 15% of all primary sales will be reinvested in cryptoart.

The NFT project is also active in charitable causes, donating to the likes of Too Young to Wed, an international organization fighting child marriages; and She’s the First, a New York-based non-profit that supports the education of girls around the world.
