3 IDO & IGO platforms and token launchpads

Introduction

Any new crypto initative that requires to sell a token require a platform to advertise the initiative and reach as many potential investors as possible.

In the first years the Initial Coin Offering was the standard way to kick-off any new blockchain-based company or project. More recently, additional methods have come up, namely IDOs, Token launchpads, and for a specific sector, IGOs.

What is an IDO (initial DEX offering)

IDO platforms, are Decentralized Exchange (DEX) platforms for launching new coins, crypto projects, and raising liquidity. IDOs were created to tackle the shortcomings of the ICO model. Unlike an ICO, however, where tokens are sold before an exchange listing, in an IDO, tokens are immediately listed on the DEX through which they’re launched and provide immediate token liquidity.

They are gaining an important role in decentralized finance as people from various backgrounds can contribute and become investors.

What is a Token launchpad

A token Launchpad is a platform that supports the minting and launching of  Token-based projects, including NFT projects. With such services, the creators can raise funds to build projects, launch them, and market them too.

These platforms help creators or businesses in early community building, higher return of investments and lower transaction costs on their NFT trades.

Launchpads provide regular investors the opportunities that were previously only available to venture capitalists and other large-scale investors.

What is an IGO (Initial Game Offering)

With the rise of GameFi, Initial Game Offering (IGO) is gaining popularity among crypto investors. IGO allows you to pre-purchase a blockchain game’s NFTs or tokens at its early development stage.

IGO is a method for blockchain gaming projects to raise capital. It’s similar to an ICO, but apart from cryptocurrency tokens, IGO participants can get early access to the in-game assets while supporting the game’s early development. IGO offered assets often include mystery boxes, characters, skins, accessories, weapons, and other items.

IGOs are usually organized through launchpad platforms. Typically, investing through launchpads requires participants to lock the platform’s native token for a certain period of time. In some cases, the tokens and NFTs acquired from IGOs can be traded outside of the gaming ecosystem on decentralized exchanges and NFT marketplaces.

Binance NFT

The Binance NFT Marketplace is a platform for artists, creators, and crypto enthusiasts where they can create and trade top NFTs. The platform offers also IGO services.

Once you have accessed the system, you can select the project you wish to participate in and you can check all project details.

There are four phases in a Binance IGO: Preparation, Subscription, Calculation, and Distribution

Binance NFT adopts a unique subscription mechanism to ensure all users get an equal opportunity to participate in IGOs. The final NFT allocation will be based on a fully public and verifiable selection algorithm.

Seedify

Seedify is a blockchain launchpad that comes with a seed-stage fund governed by a DAO. It is a decentralized platform for IGOs that supports innovative projects in blockchain-based gaming.

The community decides the support of initiatives through its governance rules. The support includes also help in community building and in marketing

Basically, the Seedify launchpad provides an avenue for new crypto startups to promote their projects in the gaming sphere.

Any innovator or entrepreneur can submit their work to Seedify and the community will evaluate it. If the evaluation is positive, the project will get seed funding.

DAO Maker

DAO Maker is a retail-oriented start-up funding platform. It allows many retail investors and individuals to become involved in venture capital.

Its flagship product is the DAO Pad, a multi-investment platform that allows DAO token holders to participate in early-stage token sales for upcoming projects.

Besides its popular DAO Pad product, DAO Maker also provides a range of additional services to nascent blockchain-based projects. These include incubation services, operations and advisory services, and another of its flagship products — social mining.

Conclusions

The evolution of the crypto landspace has brought in many novelties among which there are new systems to raise money for new blockchain-based startups and projects. After the time of ICO, the era of Token launchpads, IDO and other domain specific systems like IGO has come.

The goal of these platforms is to make investments easier, reach a broad audience and provide early liquidity to developers while providing a higher degree of safety for the investor.
